For over 3 decades, the Halmis have continually raised the bar, producing and distributing innovative and critically-acclaimed movies and miniseries for television. The RHI library includes timeless classics such as Animal Farm, Cleopatra, Dinotopia, Gypsy, Gulliver's Travels, Lonesome Dove, Moby Dick, Merlin and Scarlett. Recent originals include A Christmas Carol: The Musical, The Christmas Card, Dreamkeeper, Earthsea, Flash Gordon-The Series, Human Trafficking, Hogfather, The Lion in Winter, Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven, The Ten Commandments and Tin Man.
Last year, RHI launched a landmark initiative to premiere original, never-before-seen movies in the action, thriller and horror genres to cable TV customers using their video on demand (VOD) service, entering into distribution agreements with Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, Cablevision, Cox and Comcast, among others. In addition, RHI signed an agreement with iTunes to license a number of its new movies, miniseries and back catalog to global subscribers.
DISTRIBUTION
In 2007, RHI developed, produced and distributed approximately 43 new television projects (including movies, miniseries and series) to broadcast and cable networks around the world. In addition to the development, production and distribution of new content, RHI controls distribution rights to approximately 1,000 titles, or over 3,500 broadcast hours of long-form television programming, which it licenses to television and digital outlets globally.
